Happy Autumn, democracy fans!
It’s time for a quick re-cap of the last month at Democracy Club, including by-elections, user feedback and how we make the world better.
For more regular updates, we’re on Twitter, Facebook or our blog.
Best wishes,
Joe
🗳 Who Can I Vote For? now includes by-elections...
We now capture by-elections in Every Election as they are announced. Volunteers add details to the candidates crowdsourcer and we present the info to voters at Who Can I Vote For?. This means that five minutes of your help is always appreciated! Can you find contact details for candidates in these upcoming by-elections?
🎉 ...As well as some of the May 2018 elections.
The all-up elections (where every seat is available) are now in the candidates crowdsourcer. It’s early days, but we’re sure some people have already announced their plans to stand. Add their details!
✏️ The user feedback on Where Do I Vote? is fascinating.
We asked people who used the polling station finder whether they found it useful. Then we categorised the comments and wrote about them. It’s a must-read.
🔗 We sketched our 'theory of change'.
It’s helpful to funders (and everyone really) if we outline exactly why we do what we do. We've drawn a sketch of how we make the world better here (PDF) and there’s a more detailed spreadsheet here. They are drafts, so feedback is welcome.
👀 See what we’re working on today.
We try to work openly: you can follow our live to-do list here!
