Hello,
There are only 18 days to go before the general election!
We want to make sure that the millions of voters who search online for accurate, non-partisan information about their candidates can find it.
Our candidates database is now pretty good. We've got every candidate, and a majority now have a photo and at least one social media or website link.
But it's not enough! We get lots of comments from voters that say things like: "Where do they stand? What do they care about?"
So we've made it possible for candidates to add a personal statement. It's a bit more work for the candidates to provide, so we think they need some encouragement...
Can you help voters in your area, by asking candidates to provide a statement?
1) Go to WhoCanIVoteFor.co.uk and pop in your postcode;
2) Visit each candidate page to see if they've provided a 'Statement to voters';
3) If not, contact them to ask for one (there's now a template email generator you can use on each candidate's page)
We expect visitor numbers to grow strongly from next week onwards — so now's a great time to ask your candidates!
Thanks in advance,
Joe, Chris, Sym et al
