Dear friends,
Hope you’re enjoying the heat.
We’ve just published our annual impact report!
It covers the year from June 2018 to June 2019, which included a huge set of local elections and unexpected European Parliament elections.
Some highlights:
- Our data on elections, candidates and polling locations was used over two million times;
- WhoCanIVoteFor.co.uk recorded its highest satisfaction rate yet;
- We demonstrated the feasibility of and user need for producing open data on councillors.
Some, er, lowlights (?)
- We failed to convince the BBC to carry the polling station finder on their website;
- With nearly 27,000 candidates standing at the local elections, we were only able to find the contact details for around 20% of them;
- We couldn’t convert website visitors into donors!
If you’re on twitter, you can see and share this short summary.
And there’s more in the full report.
Best wishes,
Joe
