I'm Joe. I help run Democracy Club.

Today, we've already helped over 100,000 people to find their polling station. We've helped 75,000 people to learn about their candidates. And that's before the post-work rush that's just starting.

We couldn't have done any of this without you.

Maybe you helped turn vast numbers of PDFs into useful open data on candidates. Maybe you logged in to add a photograph of a candidate. Maybe you shared our websites on twitter or facebook today. Thank you.

You helped democracy work a bit better today.

There's still much more to do. Voters want more information. There are more council areas to cover. And democracy doesn't stop at 10pm on polling day.

To do more, we need to become better resourced.

We need to: expand beyond a full-time team of three; grow the club into a community; better understand what's needed; design and build new products; and to check that it all works.

Any organisation ultimately serves those who fund it. I hope that Democracy Club will always be able to put citizens' needs first.
